Stairs: The grand, modern concrete staircase finished in a micro resin is a focal point of the house. Beginning from the lower ground floor and consisting of three segments in a “U” shape, it leads first up to the ground floor and then continues to the first floor. Railings are glass with minimalist steel frames. A large (1.8m x 1.8m) glass skylight directly above floods the entire staircase with natural light.
GROUND FLOOR
The entire ground floor is tiled with the same tiles as the basement and there is underfloor heading and multi-zone air conditioning throughout.
Living / dining area: The ground floor of the house consists of a large, open-plan living / dining area of 78.7m2 with high ceilings. At the east end of the room is the main entrance to the house from the exterior. Along the south side of the room are three large sliding glass doors totalling 11.0m and providing clear views out over the sea. On the west side of the room is the opening to the kitchen. (A traditional wood based barbecue and pizza oven can be easily accommodated in the garden area.) The covered patio area can naturally be divided between a seating / relaxing and eating areas. Hot water is by eco-friendly “aerotermia” units which also drive the air conditioning. There is a gas line into the property which extends to the kitchen and exterior barbecue areas although not currently in use as the kitchen is an induction hob.
